Chief Technology & Product Officer at SellAnyCar
From February 2022 to November 2023, Ciprian Spiridon served as Chief Technology & Product Officer at SellAnyCar, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Executive technology and product leadership across four automotive marketplace brands: SellAnyCar, Carnab, BuyAnyCar and Kayishha.
What the role required
Ciprian led technology and product strategy across four automotive marketplace brands during a period that required both new-product creation and disciplined platform consolidation.
His remit covered product, UX, growth and engineering, with responsibility for the full path from business case and customer proposition to platform delivery, go-to-market and unit economics.
The defining build was Carnab: a vehicle-sales platform created from a blank sheet while the wider organization continued to operate and adapt to a changing market. The role combined direct product creation with redesigning the team that would scale it.
What I built and changed
- Created Carnab from a blank sheet.Owned the business case, customer proposition, product strategy, engineering, UX and go-to-market, taking the vehicle-sales platform from concept to a scaled operating business in fourteen months.
- Built an AI customer-support platform.Designed a support system that automated common customer journeys and reached 85% of the resolution accuracy delivered by the human team.
- Extended the sales conversation with AI.Launched a conversational assistant for post-visit vehicle negotiations, allowing the sales journey to continue after the physical appointment and lifting conversion by 28%.
- Built product and UX as operating functions.Established both disciplines from scratch, recruited senior product and marketing leadership with the CEO and Board, and connected discovery, delivery and growth decisions.
- Aligned four brands behind one product strategy.Brought SellAnyCar, Carnab, BuyAnyCar and Kayishha into a clearer technology, product and marketing model while consolidating platforms and protecting the highest-value roadmap work.
