# Writing

Field notes and essays about building technology organizations and consumer platforms—written from the decisions, constraints and consequences of operating them.

## Writing from operating experience

This is where I make the reasoning behind the work explicit: how AI changes the shape of engineering, why some business capabilities deserve to be built, and what it takes to modernize a platform while customers are still using it.

I am interested in specific choices and falsifiable claims. The useful material is not that a technology is transformative; it is where the bottleneck moves, which control becomes more important and what a leader should do differently on Monday morning.

## What I write about

### AI-native delivery

Specifications as execution interfaces, parallel agent work, review constraints and the human ownership that production systems still require.

### Platforms and modernization

Strangler migrations, data foundations, native products and the organizational sequencing needed to replace critical systems safely.

### Product and operating leverage

Build-versus-buy decisions, internal SaaS, e-commerce infrastructure and the product capabilities that define a company’s economics and customer experience.

What changes when agent-authored, human-reviewed work reaches 40% of production pull requests: specifications become interfaces, review becomes capacity and accountability stays human.

Field note. A 30-day field test in parallel agent execution—and why decomposition, orchestration and engineering judgment now matter more than typing speed.
